The Year So Far July 2011

The year so far for Cooks & Partners has been a good one.  For this reason we have just employed a new Event Manager who starts very soon and they’ll be in touch to introduce themselves in the next few weeks.  Proper introductions to follow shortly!

In MAY we helped The Geological Society, a fantastic venue on Piccadilly, organise their first showcase evening with Cooks & Partners as their in-house caterer.  Providing conference catering and hospitality in London, we have been working in partnership with The Geological Society for the last 10 years, so this was a special occasion for all of us.  Now opening its doors to the wider event and conference market, this beautiful Grade 1 listed building has excellent facilities including a lecture theatre, meeting and private dining rooms and a lovely Library for receptions and dinners.  Thanks to all who attended.  For details and showround please do Contact Us  Photos and press coverage – Conference News and Event Magazine

JUNE – what a manic month it has been…Bring it on!  We all love a challenge as life would be way too boring without it.

We had our client’s annual event for 250 guests in Dean’s Yard next to Westminster Abbey in London which is such an amazing setting.  Our full event management service came to the fore with this event again this year.  A large marquee structure build with equally large decking area and reception dome marquee, lighting, décor, jumping water jets and incorporating their new brand identity.  We served up some fabulous “party food” including substantial canapés and hot and cold food bowls all using the best local ingredients.  A pudding display to make anyone’s mouth water and fun mini ice cream cones with all the toppings you could ever want. This was a huge success and another year of a very happy client.  Check out our coverage at Event Magazine and more photos to see on our Facebook Page

Leighton House Museum is proving very popular since their huge refurbishment which has really brought the Museum to the top of the venue list.  A unique venue located near Holland Park offering the Arab Hall, Studio and garden for receptions and dinners.  We catered some lovely events including the Lord Leighton Dinner hosted by Grocer’s Hall to raise money for the Museum, a charity art auction and reception, and a lovely Iranian commitment ceremony and reception.

Weddings, we all love a good wedding and we have certainly been catering some lovely ones at the Orangery, Holland Park a wonderful wedding venue.  As wedding caterer and wedding planner in London we have been providing a full catering service from afternoon tea receptions to canapés and food bowls to the full wedding breakfast and assisting with flowers, entertainment as well.  “Thank you for being so fabulous, helpful and easy to deal with.  I knew from the moment we spoke I would hire you.  Your staff were lovely and the food and drinks all looked and tasted great.  It was all fantastic and you guys were completely seamless!!“  Nathalie & Julian    Take a look at some of our photos on our Facebook page
