Family fairground and barbecue for 300 guests
For a 30th wedding anniversary, one couple wanted to entertain all the family - over 300 people! We erected a big top in which we arranged a fairground, including dodgems, a Victorian carousel, helter-skelter, bouncy castle, swing boats and coconut shy, plus a live band. The floral displays were life sized clown pants filled with flowers! The menu included barbecue grills, food stalls, live wok theatre cooking and a rowboat filled with seafood. The children really enjoyed the mango, marshmallow and strawberry skewers and the "build your own" ice cream stand.
This was truly memorable day for all generations.
The barbecue menu included
- Lemon grass and sweet chilli marinated prawn skewers
- Monkfish with garlic and citrus marinade
- Indonesian chicken patties with sweet lime and coriander dip
- Lamb koftas with cucumber and yoghurt dip
- Plus classic beef burgers with all the trimmings, a range of sausages and chicken pieces
