Founded in 1807 by 13 gentlemen over dinner, The Geological Society is the oldest national geological Society in the world. The Society has resided in Burlington House, a Grade II listed building in the heart of Central London, since 1874.
The Geological Society setting and facilities offers a stunning and welcoming environment for day time conferences, meetings and events, receptions and intimate dinners. With a 172 seat lecture theatre, Lower Library and a number of smaller meeting rooms, there are many options to meet your requirements.
Their in-house events department will manage your event throughout and will be on hand to assist in any requirements you may have from AV and production through to flowers and decoration. As in-house caterers at Burlington House, Cooks and Partners will provide all the catering elements for your event from refreshment breaks with home-made pastries and cakes to finger and fork buffet lunches. With reception options of canapés and food bowls, and delicious seasonal seated dinner menus, we work with you to ensure you have the perfect menu to suit your event and guests.
