DARWIN CENTRE AND THE TREE GALLERY LAUNCH

Natural History Museum launches the new Darwin Centre and The Tree Gallery - Two fantastic new event spaces you can experience with Cooks & Partners special event catering

THE DARWIN CENTRE

The Natural History Museum has launched The Darwin Centre latest of its fantastic event spaces. Opened by HRH Prince William of Wales and Sir David Attenborough on 14th September 2009, The Darwin Centre is a futuristic addition to The Natural History Museum. The landmark cocoon building houses vital research and internationally important collections with the aim of inspiring people to think differently about the natural environment and encourage them to take better care of it. A beautifully designed glass lift takes guests to the 7th floor for spectacular views of this magnificent building. The Darwin Centre is a contemporary space able to cater for 150 guests for dinner and up to 350 for receptions and with its own landscaped gardens and private gated entrance making it the perfect venue all year round.

THE TREE GALLERY

The Tree Gallery is also a recent addition to the venue's fantastic event spaces. This beautiful room houses TREE, a wafer-thin, longitudinal section of the entire structure of a 200 year old oak tree, which has been inserted into the Museum's ceiling. Artist Tania Kovats drew her inspiration from Darwin's tree of life and it was commissioned to mark the bicentenary of Darwin's birth.

The Tree Gallery joins the east and west sides of the building and allows guests the spectacular backdrop and views of the Central Hall. This is the perfect location for last minute occasions, whether a VIP dinner up to 60 guests or a client networking reception for up to 50 guests. The space may be booked up to 6 weeks in advance and is available 7 days a week from £5,000.

Cooks & Partners are delighted to offer these fantastic new spaces to their clients, so get in touch with us to arrange a showround and we would love to help you create the perfect event with our inspired catering and event design.
