Brompton Park Cemetery
Kensington, South West London

The Grade I listed Brompton Cemetery is a well-loved resting place for over 200,000 people, nestled among the spectacular trees and undergrowth are over 35,000 gravestones and monuments. The park offers a haven for wildlife making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

The cemetery has come alive with the remarkable stories of all the people buried there since the 1830s, including some well-known names such as Emmeline Pankhurst and John Snow. Brompton Cemetery is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of West London.

A recently completed restoration project, part-funded by the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery, returned the spectacular chapel to its original glory. The Chapel can be externally hired for private events and is suitable for a corporate party with a twist or a more elegant, private affair such as a wedding ceremony. The space can accommodate seated occasions up to 80 guests and standing receptions up to 120 guests. The Cemetery itself has the capabilities for outdoor events - these requests are to be discussed on a bespoke basis.

A new café and visitors centre at the North Lodge  along with an exciting calendar of in-house events has made Brompton one of the most unique cemeteries in London. It’s safe to say that if you’re planning an unusual event and need a quirky venue with heaps of character and historical value; Brompton Cemetery is the space for you and is London’s newest eccentric addition to the event scene.
