Our new wedding venues to look out for in 2019

Wishing all the recently engaged brides and grooms of 2019 a happy New Year! And with Christmas Day taking first place for the most popular day to propose on we are preparing for the flurry of action as couples kick-start their wedding plans into action!

Your first item on the to-do list should be securing a venue, then your caterer. And as we’ve recently been listed at these stunning London wedding venues as accredited caterers, we’d love to recommend a few…

Chiswick House and Gardens Set amongst lush gardens and expansive lawns stands a grand 18th-century villa, previously home to the Dukes of Devonshire. The rolling driveway sets the tone from the get go, you and your wedding party can arrive in style before saying your I do’s in the massive domed saloon which can host up to 90 guests for a civil ceremony.

If you’re struggling to keep the guest list for your nuptials under 90, the Conservatory is a short stroll down a path through the lovely Italian Gardens and can hold up to 100 guests for a civil ceremony. The light-filled glass structure doubles up as a perfect reception area, where you can serve canapes and Prosecco post-ceremony before heading over to the Pavilion to dine!

A permanent marquee structure with capacity for 220 guests makes the Burlington Pavilion a popular choice for the wedding feast. The blank canvas offers couples the opportunity to truly reflect their style, be it a mysterious and forest-inspired fairy tale or glamorous and glittering ballroom. Reclining panels allow guests to spill out onto the lawn during summer though can be closed in winter to create a warm and cosy atmosphere – think festoon lighting and mulled wine!

Chiswick House and Gardens offers all the necessities for your wedding day at one site and being in such a central location, it’s an easy venue to love!

Gunnersbury Park House In an equally accessible location, Gunnersbury Park House offers an array of room options for your wedding day.

The trio of Rothschild rooms open out onto a sprawling lawn and can seat up to 180 guests across all three rooms with the option of closing rooms off to create more intimate spaces. With ornate detailing and built in lighting features, the rooms are easy to dress, with even minimal décor transforming the spaces into grand dining rooms.

Though before the evening banquet, you can say your I do’s in either the stunning Orangery or serene Temple, both a short walk from the main House. The Orangery allows for up to 80 guests whereas the Temple offers a more intimate space for 50 guests.

Enjoy a view over water at both settings, a quaint bird-flocked pond accompanies the Orangery while the Temple stands majestically over a large lake, one of the many swans may even join you for your wedding photos!

Gunnersbury Park House offers the perfect setting for a grand dinner, one of Cooks & Partner’s specialities. And following the completion of a massive restoration project on the House, we are excited to see what 2019 brings in terms of weddings and events at this wonderful venue.

Wrest Park Maybe central London isn’t quite what you’re looking for, somewhere deeper into the green but still nearby for friends and family – look no further, Wrest Park ideally located in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, is all that and so much more.

The massive Mansion House sits on a 92-acre country estate, the sweeping views and never-ending lawns take you right out of the city and into its very own natural paradise. The House itself offers four connected rooms to host your ceremony, reception or dinner in, allowing you to personalise the experience from start to finish, though for the nuptials we’d have to recommend the spectacular entrance hall where you can say your actual I do’s on its striking symmetrical staircase. The various rooms can host between 60 and 100 guests for your ceremony.

Though if you’d like to embrace nature from the get go, you and 170 guests can celebrate the ceremony in the glass-roofed Orangery, hold the drinks reception on the patio and return to dine under the stars. This room is particularly great if you are looking to suspend floral arrangements or festoon lighting from the ceiling.

But if none of these rooms are accommodating your guest list, Wrest Park allows couples to invite up to 1000 guests for dinner and dancing in a marquee on their lovely green lawns, this option is truly bespoke in the way that it allows you to make the space your own through the marquee design and the décor inside!

Though don’t take our word for it, come and see for yourself on Sunday the 24th February 2019 when Wrest Park will be showcasing the Mansion House and Orangery, allowing couples to imagine their very own special day in this remarkable location.
