Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence: The Journey of Cooks & Partners

In May 2024, Cooks & Partners, a bespoke catering company in London and the home countries, will proudly mark its 25th anniversary. Founded by Simon Goggin, whose passion for creative cookery ignited at a young age, the company has evolved from humble beginnings to become a firm stalwart in the London and home counties catering scene.

With invaluable experience gained from various catering roles in restaurants and hotels across London, Simon's talent and dedication caught the attention of Leith’s Restaurant in Notting Hill, where he honed his skills as ‘Pastry Chef’.

Simon was with the Leith’s Group for 10 years where his last position was ‘Head Chef’ for the Leith’s Group. It was here that Simon's passion for innovative and creative cookery flourished, setting the stage for his future endeavours.

In 1999, fuelled by a desire to create something truly exceptional, Simon founded Cooks & Partners. From its inception, the company prioritised quality and consistency, attracting prestigious clients such as the ‘Venice Simplon Orient Express’, Marks & Spencer, Alpro, Heinz, Prada, Theo Fennell and various UK Government departments, to name just a few.

Over the years, Cooks & Partners has expanded its reach, providing bespoke catering services to a diverse range of clients in the public, private, and corporate sectors. Simon's visionary leadership has propelled the company to new heights, leading to the establishment of a thriving contract catering division based in Chelsea.

One of the pivotal moments in Cooks & Partners' journey was securing its first in-house catering contract at the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood in 2000. Since then, the company has continued to innovate and diversify its offerings, catering to cafes, restaurants, and conference venues across London in some incredible locations and is currently running several, thriving fixed site Cafés in some iconic London parks such as Brompton Cemetery and Boston Manor Park and our latest addition to the portfolio is located in Mount Pleasant at the renowned site of ‘The Postal Museum’.

As Cooks & Partners marks its 25th anniversary, the company marks the launch of 'Cooks Kitchen,' its own café and coffee chain, commencing with the 'Cooks Kitchen Park Café' at Wimbledon Park in the summer of 2024 with three more sites set to open by the end of the year.

As Cooks & Partners celebrates its 25th anniversary, Simon reflects on the incredible journey and expresses gratitude for the unwavering support of the loyal clients, partners, employees, many of whom them who are still with him today since the Company’s inception. Simon is also very grateful to the amazing and iconic venues that we have the honour of working with across the capital and beyond.

To commemorate this significant milestone, Cooks & Partners will host a VIP  showcase at Lancaster House on May 28. This exclusive event, by invitation only, will bring together esteemed clients, venues, suppliers, and prospects for an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

With a legacy built on true passion, using only locally sourced and finest ingredients, integrity, and excellence, Cooks & Partners looks forward to the next chapter of its remarkable story and believe us, there is much in the pipeline so stay tuned to our blog posts!
